Rutgers–New Brunswick is proud to be Scarlet Knights country. Fielding 22 NCAA Division I Big Ten® sports teams,
the campus o昀ers great spectating in football and men’s and women’s basketball, as well as in baseball, soccer,
lacrosse, wrestling, gymnastics, and more. We also have open spaces for outdoor recreation. Here’s a sampling of

pitted Rutgers against Princeton in 1869.

games take place in a stadium seating

The 18-hole golf course is open seven days
a week and serves both the university
and surrounding communities. It o昀ers a
challenging layout for all skill levels, with
narrow fairways, fast greens, and water
hazards on seven holes. The practice
and teaching facility boasts an 11,000
sq. 昀܀. short game area and a 28-bay
range. Weather permitting, our targeted
opening and closing dates are March 1 and
December 15.
Rutgers Gardens o昀ers 180 acres of lush
昀owers, plants, and trees, including a
bamboo forest, a rhododendron and
azalea display garden, and an ornamental
tree collection.

Rutgers Ecological Preserve
Livingston campus
Piscataway, NJ
The Rutgers Ecological Preserve, a 316acre tract of land, is one of the largest
contiguous expanses of forest in central
New Jersey, providing habitats for many
species of wild animals and birds. It is
open to hikers and nature enthusiasts of
all ages.
